The Market

An afternoon for the women building something while raising someone.

The Momma + Mini Market brings a small, carefully chosen group of vendors to Lakeside Social Park for a day of shopping, browsing and community. We keep the vendor list tight and the categories balanced, so every booth gets real attention and nobody is competing with four tables selling the same thing.

We're building the very first market now. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the date goes out to accepted vendors first.

Eligibility

Who we're looking for

You qualify if you meet either of the first two criteria. You don't have to be a mother to sell here — but your business should be owned by one, or made for one.

Mom-owned businesses

A business owned or co-owned by a mom, in any category.

What a booth includes

What you get Included

  • One 10×10 ft outdoor vendor space at Lakeside Social Park for $100.
  • Placement chosen with category balance in mind, so you're not beside a direct competitor.
  • Your business named and tagged across the market's promotion in the weeks before the event.
  • A vendor packet with load-in time, your space number, parking and a site map, once the date is announced.

What you bring Your job

  • Your own canopy, tables and chairs — nothing is provided on site.
  • Canopy weights on all four legs. Park turf can't be staked, and unweighted canopies will be asked to come down.
  • Your own power. There's no electrical hookup; quiet generators and battery packs are fine, and food trucks must be self-contained.
  • Your own payment processing, bags, signage, change and trash removal. Vendors haul out what they haul in.

Every vendor supplies their own canopy, tables and chairs. Canopies must be weighted on all four legs — the park does not permit stakes in the turf.

Is this a food truck or trailer? *

4Insurance

All vendors must carry general liability insurance and provide a certificate of insurance (COI) before a booth is confirmed. Coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence is required, and the market organizer and the park property must be listed as additional insured.

5Agreements

Reviewed on a rolling basis. We reply to every applicant, accepted or not.

Before you apply

When is the market?

The date is being finalized with the park. Applications are open now, and accepted vendors hear the date first — before it's announced publicly — so you have time to plan inventory and staffing.

Do I have to be a mom to sell?

No. The market is open to mom-owned businesses and to any business whose products are made for moms, babies or children. If you're not sure which side you fall on, apply and tell us about your products.

When do I pay the $100?

Not at application. You'll get an acceptance email with payment instructions and a due date. Your space isn't held until the fee is paid and your certificate of insurance is on file.

What if I don't have insurance yet?

Apply anyway and select "not yet purchased" on the application. Event liability coverage for a single-day market is widely available for a modest one-time premium, and we can point you toward carriers other applicants have used.

Can I share a booth with another business?

Two businesses may share one 10×10 space, but both must apply separately and both must carry their own insurance. Note your booth partner in the application's final field.

Is there electricity at the park?

No. There's no electrical hookup at the vendor spaces. Battery packs and quiet generators are welcome, and food trucks must be fully self-contained.
